Book Preview: T.I.A. - True, Inspiring, Adoring
It is my mind and my inner being that have changed over the years. I speak as if I am much older, but it is my experiences, not my birth date, that have made me the woman that I am. I have been under the grace of God since I was born. Somebody prayed for me. Somebody put me in God’s hands.
I could give love to everyone except myself because I didn’t know what it meant to love myself above all others. The only love that came naturally to me is the love that I have for my children. A mother’s love surpasses all.
I grew up in North Philadelphia. Growing up, I went through many unpleasant times. I would never wish to relive my childhood. Not even to go back and change things. It is a chapter that I do not need to reread or review, but for your benefit I will revisit it once more. Before I actually started to put my words on paper, I called a friend. He used to live next door to me. I had to be sure that I didn’t make all of this up in my mind or that I didn’t imagine it to be more than what it was. He confirmed my thoughts; it had all been real. Too real...

My goal in ministry is to meet the needs of God’s people through His word and to encourage those that at times can be or feel overlooked and pushed a side. I would like to see the people of God be ministered to in the areas that pertain to the life that Jesus Christ has called us to live as children of God. We need to discuss health – both physical and spiritual and then we need to put those discussions into plans of action.
Ministry needs to take place.
Among several areas of ministry, the Lord has entrusted to me a special task of ministering to women survivors of rape to help them become whole in mind, body and spirit through Jesus Christ.
My goal is to deliver God’s word in it’s power, in it’s truthfulness, in it’s wholeness.
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Ephesians 4:11-12
May the Divine Love & Grace of God rest richly upon you,
Tia May
